Community Brolly

D: hey, we should meet at the community brolly.

E: what's that?

D: you haven't seen it? it's cool!!!! it's kind of a small playground in the middle of the sidewalk. you can't miss it, it's made of a ton of umbrellas,

E: oh, i saw that thing, i thought it was a piece of public art.  i give people directions to my apartment from that place, i didn't know it was a playground.

D: yeah, there are these cool tube swings, you can swing on like a regular swing but it moves around like a carousel too, and when other people are on it you can interact with them, it's like no other playground, you really have to try it out.  it's for kids and adults.  there are only about a dozen swings, so you have to be quick. kind of like when we were kids at the playground

E: i'm not really into swings anymore, when i was a kid, sure

D: u don't have to be, there are other things too, some marks on the ground that some neighborhood kids created a game around, you should still check it out.  even if you don't play, there is some nice shade, and it's made of umbrellas, so if it's raining, it's a good stop too!!!!

E: ok, sounds kind of fun, why's it call brolly??

D: it's an old word, slang i think, for umbrella, it also stands for "Bringing Recreational Opportunities and Lively Landmarks to You", or something like that, it's supposed to bring people together and get us off our phones.  i know it looks cool from a distance but you should see it up close too.  oh, and at night it lights up, kind of like spotlights from the umbrellas.

E:  get you off your phone, good luck, lol, thanks.  i think i will check it out community brolly, nice, see you there later?
